All you ever wanted to ask... Christoph Blocher
The Swiss Legislative government is constituted of two parliamentary chambers (Nationalrat and Ständerat) who vote for 7 Chief Ministers, the Executive, who actually again vote for one of them as a president (on a rotational basis), if I am right. Please feel free to correct me, if I am wrong.
The Bundesräte (Federal Counsels) represent all major parties excluding the green party which is not yet big enough to claim a seat. One of the most prominent Bundesräte is the controversial right-wing politician of the SVP (Swiss People's Party) Christoph Blocher.
The free newspaper 20 Min. today had a live online chat session with Bundesrat Blocher, where I also participated.
Here are the questions I asked:

Here are the questions I asked:
- The SVP fights for a lean governmental structure, which is reduced to an anaemic minimum. How will Switzerland face the challenges of a worsening school system with such a lean state such as the declining chances of Swiss students in international competition and the management of a people who majorly consist of people receiving pensions (disability, old age, unemployment etc.)?
- The Swiss are getting fewer and fewer children. To maintain the current economic growth we have to enforce mass Immigration of highly qualified workforce, while the chances for the Swiss youth are declining in international competition. Do you plan to take measures to increase the chances of the Swiss in international competition?
- Companies are shedding jobs here to recreate them in Asia. What can Switzerland do to change this trend and preserve jobs?
